Our team
Dr. n. biol. Barbara Klaptocz, specialist in microbiology
A graduate of the Medical Academy named after M. Copernicus in Krakow. From 1988, an assistant at the 2nd Chair and Department of Microbiology of the ŚAM in Katowice Ligota. Since 1999, Head of the Department of Clinical Microbiology at the Provincial Specialist Hospital No. 1. Prof. J. Gasiński in Tychy. Since June 2012, Head of the Department of Laboratory and Microbiological Diagnostics Megrez Sp. z o. o. WSSP Tychy.
1997 – PhD in biological sciences
2004 – 2nd degree specialization in microbiology
The team of our plant is:
- 11 Laboratory Diagnosticians,
- 15 technicians,
- 1 Laboratory Aid.
Among the diagnosticians, 3 have the title of specialist, respectively in the field of: Laboratory Medical Diagnostics, Laboratory Medical Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology.
Another 3 diagnosticians have a 1st degree specialization in the field of medical analysis, and 3 younger colleagues are in the process of specialization.
Our team constantly improves its qualifications by taking part in Conferences and Symposiums in the field of laboratory diagnostics, microbiology and transfusiology.
The knowledge and extensive professional experience of the entire Team ensures the high quality of the performed tests.
Hours of collecting material for laboratory tests
The place of collection point is Night and Christmas Health Care Tel. 32 3255357
The laboratory test collection point is open:
From Monday to Friday from 7.00 – 16.00
Tests are downloaded until 15.45
On Saturdays and Sundays, the collection point is open from 8.00 – 11.00
Other microbiological tests – taken round the clock in appropriate transport media – developed during the working hours of Microbiology.
Borrelia burgdorferi Western Blot – serum taken 24 hours a day – test performed once a week (Thursday).
