Establishment of the Hospital

The history of the establishment of the Provincial Specialist Hospital (today Megrez Sp. z o.o.) dates back to the 1950s, when the intensively expanding city and a large influx of people caused the need to build a modern, multi-specialty medical facility for the needs of the city's growing community. In 1959, the presidium of the Provincial National Council appointed an investor for this project - the District Directorate of Urban Investments in Tychy, and design work was commissioned to the Health Care Project Office in Krakow.
